Gas Stations Get Help To Go Green
The Green Gas Station Pilot Program makes $15,000 in funding available for fueling stations/convenience store owners to improve their environmental impact, contribute to the expansion of the infrastructure for alternative fuels, improve energy efficiency and increase the use of renewable energy at fueling stations/convenience stores and to provide a learning experience for motorists to reduce their environmental footprint.

Dallas Named To EPA’s Green Power Leadership Club
The City of Dallas announced today that it has been named to the EPA’s Green Power Leadership Club, a distinction given to organizations that have significantly exceeded EPA’s minimum green power purchase requirements. Green Power Leadership Club members must purchase ten times the partnership’s minimum requirement organization-wide. The City of Dallas' commitment to green power helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions while also supporting the development of new renewable generation capacity nationwide.

The City of Dallas has taken the lead nationally on green building standards for both residential and commercial structures. Now, Dallas-area schools are making it easier to become part of this fast growing professional field. Cedar Valley College, part of the Dallas County Community College District, is offering scholarships for those interested in degrees associated with green building.
