Environmental Responsibilities: Who's In Charge Here?

Federal Level: Since 1970, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been working for a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people. The mission of the EPA is to protect human health and the environment.

State Level: The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) strives to protect our state's human and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development. Our goal is clean air, clean water, and the safe management of waste.

Local Level: The City of Dallas Office of Environmental Quality is committed to protecting and improving the environment by leading and guiding the City of Dallas in its efforts on environmental compliance, pollution prevention and continual improvement.
