Turf Care Seminar: Knowing More Than Mowing
9 am to 12:30 pm
Richland College, Sabine Hall 12800 Abrams Road Dallas, TX 75243
FREE Admission!
There is a lot more to lawn care than mowing, but many of us maintain our lawns based on trial and error. Those errors show up on our lawns, our water bills and in our creeks, rivers and lakes.
Discover the most effective and earth-friendly way to care for your lawn. James Hatcher, Dallas County Master Gardener and turf grass specialist, will teach you how to care for your lawn like an expert. Subjects covered will include the proper height to mow, how and when to fertilize, how to water most efficiently and much more. These techniques will give you a healthy lawn, save money and help prevent water pollution. One rain harvesting system will be given away at end of the turf session. Following the Turf Care session, plan to attend one or more of these MicroTalks (30-minute seminars):
- Critters in the Garden
- WaterWise Herb Gardening
- Earth-KindTM Roses
- Know Your Irrigation System
- Rainwater Harvesting
- Trees - How to Conserve Water and Money
- Preventing Water Pollution
Space is limited, please contact Water Conservation online to register. Please let us know how many will be attending in your group in the comment/question section. You may also register by calling (214) 670-3155.
Bonus: There will be a drawing for a 135-gallon rain harvesting container at the end of the seminar.
