The Student Government Association of Mountain View College is hosting its annual Earth Day event. There will be a number of vendors in attendance as well as kite flyers, chalk drawing, green vehicles and more.

Youth Service Day—Cleanup @ 5 mile Creek-SW Dallas County

This is an annual event of youth throughout the City of Dallas and the Youth Commission who participate in various projects planned by the Park and Recreation Department.  The Park and Recreation Department, Communities against Trash Program, offers a service project to these youth annually.  This year will feature a cleanup of Five Mile Creek, in Park, District IV.

The Dallas Zoo celebrates Earth Day by throwing a Party for the Planet!  More than 20 activity booths will be featured, each with an important message about the environment and conservation.  Your family will enjoy this fun learning experience at the Zoo.  In addition, the Zoo’s newest exhibit, Amphibians:  Life Under the Leaf, opens.  This special project features 30 exhibits of frogs and other amphibians, and addresses the worldwide concerns about disappearing amphibians as the Dallas Zoo participates in the Year of the Frog.  All activities are free with regular Zoo admission.
